"The Second..." - Moore & "I Get By..." - Kirkpatrick
The superpower movement is on the rise in our society where the democracy of the US is being question of its effective. This new movement occurs through participation in online web-communication. Individual is allowed to voice their opinions on matter like politics, and these ideas do not go unnoticed because each opinion comes together and evolve into the voice of community. This is an effective solution to building a strong government because everyone has a say on every issue that occurs in our political world, results in the strong foundation of government. Democracy in our society where citizens elect officials to represent them in the body of government; however, these representatives can't be the voice of everyone. Thus the superpower movement is a great way for people to be actively involved in political issues. Plus it's also a great way to check the power of government. Because if members of the goverment do not exercise their power properly, post comments that can be heard nationally and even globally can put some pressure on them. So they will have to carefully gauge their decisions before taking actions.
In another article that's related to the dating site, Ito's network has become so popular that many other companies have taken on after his idea. New companies like Spoke Software are using web to bring people closer together through the compression of time and space. Friendship and romantic relationship are established globally by using the mediums: blogging software, email, instant messenger, etc. These social network is introducing us to new ways of forming relationship with other human being, which in a sense, a connection with other people can be formed virtually online.
